Perception Investigation Based on the Commuting Cost Model

Travel expenses are a significant factor in transportation planning. In addition to the other aspect, travel time, community considers expense as necessary element deciding which mode communities should take. However, there is gap between actual transport and commuter's perception. Thus, comprehensive knowledge urgently needed particularly be seen major variable planning that sided with underprivileged groups of poverty. The study focused on describing correlation income commuting expenses. analysis was carried out using two methods. first method descriptive used provide insight into patterns characteristics data obtained from interviews 421 respondents. second regression (linear nonlinear) explain relation pattern dependent (commuting expenses) independent (income) variables. study's findings demonstrate follow negative polynomial income, further implying percentage low-income significantly higher than those high-income communities.
